Mapping a virtual drive in VMware Workstation 6

Did you know that you can map a virtual disk in Workstation 6 right from the graphical user interface (GUI)? Instead of powering the virtual machine (VM) up to copy and paste data between the guest and the host OS, you could simply map a virtual disk to the host computer and perform your maintenance, etc.

Note: At this point you can only use this feature with Windows. If you try to use this with Linux, you will be prompted to format your disk. Furthermore, once you map a drive, you will not be able to power up your vm until you disconnect the mapped drive.
