Turning off UAC for administrators in Windows Vista

As an Administrator of Windows Vista, are you completely irritated by the constant pop-ups asking for your authorization? Here is a quick tip on how to shut off UAC for administrators but keep it activated for standard users.

  1. Click the Start Orb and type secpol.msc.

  1. Expand Local Policies | Security Options.
  1. Scroll to the bottom of the list and select User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode.

  1. Double-click on this setting or right-click and choose Properties. Choose Elevate without Prompting.

  1. Reboot your computer.
