First native non-Apple iPhone application says: Hello World!

We all knew it would happen. Not “if,” but “when.” Well, the #iphone-dev team has just successfully compiled the first third-party application for the iPhone.

Obviously, it is only a bare-bones “Hello world” application at the moment. But hey, it’s native to the iPhone and incorporates the iPhone’s native GUI.
