Pic: Functional 'Aliens' powerloader exosuit halloween costume

Powerloader All hail the ultimate Aliens fanboy. This is an actual wearable powerloader costume, and it’s not his first. This guy has also built an APU battlesuit from The Matrix trilogy (those absurdly impractical exosuits that ‘protected’ Zion, but left their pilots exposed from the chest up) and a classic BattleTech mech-suit. Click on the image to view a full gallery of the powerloader costume. Click either of the links above to get instructions on how to build your own mecha-costume. Underoos, eat your heart out.

(Editor’s note: I republished this blog post from last year, but it seemed to perfectly HalloweeNerd to not revive.)

Jay GarmonJay Garmon has a vast and terrifying knowledge of all things obscure, obtuse, and irrelevant. One day, he hopes to write science fiction, but for now he'll settle for something stranger -- amusing and abusing IT pros. Read his full profile.
